I had the M & G brake system installed in June at the headquarters in Athens, TX. The work was completed, I was told has been checked out, you are ready to go. I drove off pulling the toad, within 1 block I could see smoke behind the RV, I pulled on to the shoulder. Rear tires were ruined, emergency brake was on. M & G denies any responsibility. They say I should have checked the brake. I got a good brake system, I guess, but it cost an extra $300. Be careful, with them because they are less than professional.

Who did the hook up of the toad to the MH? I'd say the one that hooked up is responsible for the e-brake being left on.

I have the M&G brake system also, and I had it installed at their shop in Athens, TX. When they were finished installing the system, it was my responsibility to hook up and put my truck into tow mode which included placing the transfercase in neutral, the shift lever in "P", leaving the key in the run position so the steering wheel would turn, being sure my parking brake was off and my truck electric windows rolled up. I then had to disconnect my battery with a underhood switch that I had previouly installed myself, and finally closing the hood and manually locking the drivers door. I then ask them to check my lights all around the coach and toad as I operated them from the RV drivers seat to be sure all my stop lights, turn signals, etc. were all working properly. That was in 2000 on my original coach and I did it all again on my 2004 coach and never expected them to do anything more than install their equipment - the rest was up to me. I consider the M&G the best brake system out there at any price.

Sorry about your tires, but I do not think it was their responsibility to see that your parking brake was off,.... The ROAD READYNESS of your coach and toad is YOUR responsibility every time you get behind the wheel.

Good luck in your travels - Glenn

Had mine installed in Athens also, they stood behind me and watched as I did all the hook-up operation to make sure I was doing it correctly.
I was told to get in the car and pump the brakes so I cound feel the system working. It was my responsibility to confirm the car was tow ready. I'm sorry you feel they did you wrong, but I was 100% happy with their work and am very satisfied with the M & G braking system.
My wife & I have a check list before we leave and checking the key, steering wheel and park brake are on both of our lists.
