Check your wiring to the breakaway i would bet it actavated some way and the only way would be 12 volts to the Mac valve or what ever type valve on the breakaway. Could also be a faulty breakaway switch Do you have the negative or positive hooked to the breakaway switch.
Bruce you could remove the positive wire from the breakaway to be able to complete your trip without worry.

M&G is air-powered, no electricity involved unless the MH is a gasser, for which, M&G has a specific kit to power a small compressor on the towed.

Ray the M&G is operated by air but the Mac valve on the breakaway is powered by 12 volts when the plunger is removed from the breakaway switch or when it gets voltage by whatever means then the M&G will get air out of the air tank on the breakaway until the 12 volts is removed.
I am running a M&G on our F150 with a breakaway that I installed about 6 month ago.

As long as we are chasing a ghost here, might be worthwhile to check the coach air side of the equation, and see if there is some source of residual pressure at the coach connection. Just a thought, there may be enough there to drag your toad brakes but not affect the coach.

Was the source of this problem ever found?
About to install and M&G system, curious if the problem was on the Jeep or the M&G side.
TIA

It wouldnt be the adjustment on the M&G or it would do it after unhooking as well. I would look at the breakaway, it may have failed and caused this or somehow air was supplied from the motorhome.

When I installed our M&G I followed instructions and got the rotary temp and drove a couple miles without touching the brake (in the country) and got the temp again to make sure the adjustment was not to tight.

I use the SMI Air Force One with the 12volt electric brake away switch. A couple of times when I stopped our truck while not attached to the motor home and went to restart, the brakes were applied and locked. I disconnected the switch and problem resolved. I replaced the switch with a new one, problem solved.
