I know some of you have used both systems. As you can see by my other thread here today I am looking at a 2011 Grand Cherokee. Up to the 2010 model the M&G system would fit. I am using M&G on my current '01 Cherokee toad. The 2011 doesn't have enough room for the M&G cylinder to fit and M&G said they will not be offering anything for the 2011.

This leaves me looking at Air Force One from SMI. What are the major differences in connection to the coach and can I leave my coach as is? Also the new GC has a very odd shaped brake arm between the master and pedal, almost an S. Will this cause any problems with the mounting of the AF1 Cylinder.

New cars are getting harder to set-up with a good air operated tow brake.

Try giving Brazel's Rv a call at 1-877-786-1576. They are sponsors here beside being good people who are highly knowledgeable about the Air Force One system.

I gave them a call and they were helpful. Like everyone else I have contacted so far, no one has done an install on a 2011 GC yet.

I have AFO on my Tundra. I connect an airhose between the coach and toad. Since I use a 6 wire connector, I used one of the connections to wire an indicator light on the dash. I really like the AFO, it has been flawless. I like that it came with the breakaway system. Like you, I wanted an M&G, but it wouldn't fit my Tundra, but absolutely no regrets.
