Made a Mistake

I set up our CRV toad to be towed yesterday and left the ignition key in RUN instead of ACC. Went 250 miles like this. Had a dead battery but that seems to be all. Did I do any other damage?

Well,
Since your report labeled the time occurrence as "yesterday", I'm going to assume you've driven it, operated important things like lights, turn signals, brakes, brake lights, and anything else that's required for daily operation and, you've said nothing is or was effected other than the dead battery, then I'm assuming you've done no other damage.

I am breathing a sigh of relief. The CRV is DW's car..................She was not happy.

I can't see why you would have damage but I would add a charge line from the coach chassis battery if it is one of the newer CRVs as their battery is small and on long trips you might have the dreaded dead battery problem again.

We have a charge line and we have a fusemaster. This was all on me. I noticed the parking lights and dashboard lights on but thought they would go off in a few minutes. Never mentioned it to DW. She normally does the car but I no longer have to take down the sat tripod so I said I would do the car. All on me me me............................

I bet she don't make the mistake of letting YOU do the car again!

....and you do know you can't flat tow the Honda CRV after the 2014 model year right? They started using the CVVT transmission.

Too bad......they were a very popular toad choice.

We have been towing a toad for over a year. As I said, it is all on me. She had done the toad setup from day one, even has a checklist in the toad to verify everything is done. This is not a toad that can't be toad, never said that.
