Has anyone ever installed the M&G in a 01 vintage Malibu? It is too tight to fit?

A call to M&G Engineering should get you the definitive answer on that.

I have a feeling that the brake lines are too short in the Malibu to allow the master cylinder to be moved forward to install the M&G cylinder.

We use the US Gear in ours. Installation was pretty straightforward.
