MH - Jeep | trailer ???

I am an artist with lot of art work to haul. We will be going from point a to point b then staying several months then moving.
My question(we are new to this) i have seen people with 5Th wheel and a boat. We have a 40' m/h with a 400 Hp,could we pull jeep, and trailer a 10' enclosed,or would we be asking for trouble.
Just trying how to haul as much art with out driving 2000 miles to reload.

Why not a enclosed trailer for the Jeep and all your art work, then when the Jeep is unloaded, you have a work shop......and dry storage, and the option to work outside when nice.......I would think this setup would be better than double towing.....
Just a thought.
Here is my new setup....... http://www.irv2.com/forums/f58/my-ne...ed-203681.html

Some states have laws against vehicles over a certain length. I believe that, when I was in CA recently, I saw a sign that said no vehicles above 50 feet long. It may have been for a specific road, though.

You've got two problems with what you're proposing. (1) You're going to be overlength in a lot of places. (2) Most places that do allow a double tow like you're proposing require the first connection be a king pin or fifth-wheel type hitch, which is what you've seen with the 5er and the boat. I don't think that two frame hitch type connections are allowed many places.

Trailer with storage and Jeep is your best bet.

X2 on the trailer with storage and capability to carry the tow vehicle.

That what we were thinking, already have the 12' trailer but best bet would be to sell it get the large size.
We will be very close with 24 car hauler 40 m/h 5' tow bar ,24' trailer.See it done so i guess state troopers leave you alone.
Thanks for your help.
