Does anyone know if u can tow an automatic trans cooper 4 down?

If a Mini Cooper with AT is towable, You will need to check with REMCO to see if they make a disconnect drive line for it. A trans pump may also be required. Remco Drive Shaft Coupling

You can do the research but the answer is no. Manual transmission yes, automatic on a dolly or trailer buy not 4 down. Your first source of information should be your owners manual.

Which will tell him it's not towable, automatic or manual (if it mentions it at all).

I've got no direct experience with the Mini, but I can tell you there are numerous threads here on IRV2 discussing the Mini being used, successfully, as a toad - manual trans. Use our search feature, look for "Mini toad" and I'll bet you'll get a few hours worth of reading.
