Go to the Motorhomes section then choose Toads and try there. Is it a stick?

Towing a Mini

I tow a 2008 Mini Clubman S. 6-speed automatic. Have Intellibrake installed and also installed supplemental brake bulbs.

Are you towing on four wheels down?

I was told you could not tow the Mini Cooper 4 down with an Automatic transmission. Have you had any problems with your car and/or have you towed it very many miles?

Manual not automatic

I claim the right of ignorance granted to those technology and geriatrically challenged. My original reply should have read "6-speed manual"!

I was curious as to the post reply questions as the Mini is a fairly common TOAD because it is so easy to tow. Now I see why!!

Sorry for the confusion.

When I was initially searching for a TOAD, I wanted it to be very easy and trouble free. The Mini has been perfect in that regard.

Again, sorry for any confusion.

Trimanjoe, I was hoping the mini with auto trans was possible 4-down. That's why I asked. My wife can't drive a manual so we bought a 2013 Paceman Mini with Auto and now buying a acme tow dolly.

Thanks for the clarification.

Happy motoring.

Just purchased 2006 Mini Cooper S

"The Die is Cast". Just purchased mini to flat tow behind 1999 38' Monaco Diplomat ( Also recently purchased.) Now question is "Roadmster" or "Blue Ox"?

Jmgrishmanjr, I have had both, Road Master and Blue Ox. I prefer the Blue Ox. For me the Blue Ox is easier to hook up and unhook. After I have unhooked my my Jeep I catch myself looking at the front end of it to see the the base plate plate. It is almost invisible. The black color of it matches the black on my Jeep.

With the Road Master there was so much steel hanging on the front of my Dodge Dakota that I had to watch where I was walking or I would end up in a lot pain. I can't count the number of times I busted my knee's on that thing.
