Mini Cooper as a Toad
Looking at a mini cooper manual trans. Can this be flat towed and if so whay is the towing proceedure

You need to check the owner's manual. It will give you all the details of what the manufacturer states is required.

Per Remco Towing
Notes
Towable as is without speed or distance restrictions. See Owner's Manual for confirmation and procedures.
When towing for an extended period of time, start the vehicle as often as possible and allow it to run for five minutes to prevent battery drain.
No formal testing has been done on the 5-Speed Manual Transmission or the 6-Speed Manual Transmission. Remco has never heard of a problem towing these vehicles. Please confirm in your owner's manual, and follow the outlined procedures for towing.
As always..verify WHAT is listed in Owners Manual by MFG as to requirements/concerns

I flat tow my 2013 Mini, manual trans. No issues. Even with a braking system, I have a charge line coming from the MH so no need to run the engine to charge the battery.

We flat-tow our 2013 Mini Cooper S Roadster with a 6-speed automatic transmission. BMW (Mini) will say that it cannot be done and I’d probably not do it with a car that I wanted them to honor any warranty on.

We towed a 2010 MINI Clubman S 6-speed for a couple of years. Fun car!

I used a RoadMaster Even Brake ... a pain in the little Mini floorboard. If I were to do it all again, I’d look into using something like what I use now on our Ford Escape toad, the RoadMaster InvisiBrake.
