Mini cooper for towing

Looking at used mini coopers for towing. Do they make good toweds? Are all models equal?

Based on all the cursing from my friends that own them, it's quite possible that the only way to put a lot of miles on a mini without "Busting My Wallet" is to tow it behind an RV.....

I know that doesn't answer your question

I believe it has to be the standard shift - also I think the four wheel drive versions are not towable. If you find a model you like run it on this site to read what they say about the vehicle. If they sell towing parts for the vehicle it should be towable. Store : Remco

SW OREGON 2004 Journey 39K, 330 Cat
If towing: a 2006 Mini Cooper or 1995 Wrangler

We have a 2008 Mini S with manual transmission. We are having great luck towing it and it's really fun to drive.

Do a search here in iRV2, there are many detailed threads about towing Minis.

Good Luck

Thanks to all who responded. We are experiencing the big learning curve as this is our first MH.

Better to learn by the experiences of others than paying for it .

Our toad is a 2007 Mini Cooper S with a 6 speed manual transmission. Our Mini weighs in at about 2600 lbs. It is a fun car -

As stated by others -- there are several threads which discuss the Mini Cooper as toads and data as far as the different years and some differences. Just do a search and you'll get a lot of information.

We towed a 2003 Mini Cooper 6 speed four down for 5 years and 30000+ miles. We had no problems as we had run flat tires on it. Enjoy when you arrive!
