Mini Cooper Towable?

We have a 2010 Mini Cooper with an automatic transmission. I am wondering if this vehicle is towable...?

Anyone have experience with this?

Thanks

Tow with dolly !! the rubber flap under your front end will come off . which will give you the clearance . I made brackets that bolted to the frame to allow hooking up the chains . I think that if I went 100 miles an hour it would still pull like it wasn't there. kar kaddy is what I use.

We tow an Auto 2012 Countryman with a tow dolly. Since the Mini doesn't have the steering wheel lock you just put it in park and go. The only weird problem we have is even though the ignition is off while on the tow dolly we just about always get a check engine light after we unload for either a TPMS (tire pressure monitor system) or ABS (Antilock Brake system). After a few miles the check engine light will clear.

I've towed my standard shift Mini many miles without problem. Actually there was a problem, the brake buddy was not set correctly and caused front brake damage. It is an easy car to tow and I now use ReadyBrute brake system. It certainly is a fun car to drive.

I tow my 06 standard S. Use Patriot sys and works fine. Use same sys To tow 02 GMC Sonoma and 14 GMC Terrain. Adapts nicely to all three vehicles.

Yes, you can tow a Mini, but if yours is an automatic you HAVE to use a dolly which could be tight if you have low ground clearance, or get a trailer. Only manuals can be towed on all fours.
