Need advice on Setup for Honda FIT toad
I have a 2007 Honda Fit that I want to tow behind my 1997 Holiday Rambler Class A. I plan to use a 2-wheel tow dolly. My dolly is an old factory unit that has a pretty terrible pan setup (can you say potato chip?) so I will re-make that part with 2x2" square tube and steel plate.
Is there a simple way to get into the FIT's wiring to use its tail lights and turn signals? I have an adapter that will plug into the car wiring that is intended to power trailer lights behind the FIT. Can I plug into that and back-drive the system, or do I risk toasting electrical modules doing so? Should I have lights on the dolly as well as the vehicle?
I've seen pros and cons over letting the dolly swivel when going around a corner. Who has experience towing a FIT and what do you do?
My dolly has no brakes, nor allowance for them. Beyond the obvious "belt and suspenders" benefit of having auxiliary brakes are there legal ramifications of not having brakes?
Thanks for any insight you can provide.
...if ignorance is bliss, I'm one happy guy!

IIITowed our '05 Ody both four down and on a KK-460 dolly. I wired the Ody myself using RoadMaster diodes. I also made a pigtail off the dolly wiring that connected to the Ody wiring so all dolly and Ody tear lights worked. No problems with that setup over the years of use.
I set it up that way because the Ody was a pretty big vehicle and I wanted lights on the back of it. The Fit is much shorter so I might go without wiring it in.
Ramifications of not having brakes? Pretty much required everywhere but only necessary after you crash because you couldn't stop in time.

Amanaland-
We tow our Fit four-down, so most of what I know does not apply.
If you want to wire the Fit lights as they would be wired for four-down towing, you would install something like this kit from Roadmaster.

that year fit can be four down tow.
roadmaster sells a baseplate with just two bolts to mount.
etrailor.com has a plug in harness, very easy to connect.

If the dolly has swiveling wheel plates for the car front wheels, the car steering wheel should be locked, or tied down if it has no lock. If the dolly does not have its own swivel, then the car steering should be free to turn so that the car can follow the dolly. If the dolly is adequately wide for the car, there is no danger of scraping the dolly fenders.
Since this is an old dolly, I'm guessing it probably does NOT have the swiveling wheel rests.
