New 2901 Owners - Towing questions

My wife and I will soon be closing on a 2011 Bay Star 2901. We plan on towing our 2012 Prius V and would like suggestions regarding a tow dolly. Thanks in advance for your thoughts and advice.

Welcome to the forum and irv2
Most of the towers here tow 4 wheels down and use the SMI SYSTEM.
Here are links to different type tow dollies to consider.
Congratulations on your soon to be Bay Star.
Here is a Brochure and Owners Guide for it.
Below in my signature there are three links you will find more info for your Newmar.
Others will chime in about towing and the broucher should have some information also.
Enjoy the forums and safe travels.

90-95% tow four down for a reason. Dollies just to much hassle.

Hi Take Five,
Welcome to iRV2 and the Newmar Owners Forum. The Newmar Owners Forum tends to actually answer the questions you post.

I tow both 4 down and with a dolly (not at the same time ). It all depends on the trip we are about to take. The dolly affords the option of taking vehicles that can not be towed 4 down. I have used the Demco Kar Kaddy SS since 2005. It works as advertised. I purchased this dolly because of its' features, accessories and the ability to fold up to a small foot print. Also, the dolly will carry quite a bit of weight. This is important because, it allows me choices in the vehicles I purchase. The tasks to load/unload are different that connecting and disconnecting when towing 4 down. For me, I find the tasks equally irritating.

Not all vehicles can be towed by a dolly either. Be sure and check your owners manual if haven't done so already.
