New Spark or Sonic or Cruze

Chevy has new 2014 Sparks for $9700, Sonics for $12200, Cruze for $12500.
What do you say about buying one of these as a new toad?

Sonics (automatic) can be towed 4 down, no so for the Spark, don't know about the Cruze. Manual tranny may be different. I bought my 2013 with the intent of using as a toad. Have not set it up yet.

I have the sonic with an auto I love it fun to drive and can be 4 down with 1.8 auto , the turbo can't be towed 4 down.
I looked at the spark only the standard tranny can be 4 down, I think the the sonic is more of car, I haven't set mine up yet for towing yet but will be in the fall

I don't believe the Cruze can be towed 4 down. To be sure, check the owners manual. GM has most, if not all, their owners manuals for current models available online. Look for a section in the manual called Recreational Towing.

Am flat towing a 2013 Sonic hatchback with a 1.4 turbo. The only model not approved is the RS.

Update on what I posted.......
Low price was a come on that most would not qualify for.
The Sonic with Illinois sales tax is $16250 out the door.
I am still considering the Sonic.
We have a 2010 Cadillac SRX that we could tow.
DW wants to trade for another car ...so don't know how long we could tow this SRX or exactly what we would trade for. Hate to set it up to tow for only a year or so.
If we buy the Sonic , tow problem solved, but now another car to license and insure that we only need for a tow.
Please give me some opinions.
Thanks everyone

It will cost about the same to make any vehicle towable. Get the new car and set it up to tow. Changing from a Cadillac to a Sonic is a big change. Make sure you will like the new car before purchasing it.

I towed a 2014 spark 5 speed for a while with Roadmaster brackets it was a nice little tow car at less than 2400 lb, now tow a 2015 Kia Soul 6 speed with Roadmaster brackets and Brakemaster toad brakes.
