Newbie Advice Please

Hi, we've just started full timing and need to purchase a Toad. I've read so many comments and suggestions that my head is spinning.
Am I correct in thinking that manual transmission vehicles are ok to flat tow, also that The CRV 2013 and older can also be towed whether they're 4WD or 2. I know Jeeps are ok too but they don't really fit our lifestyle.
Anyone who has an experienced toad for sale please get in touch. We're in Pensacola right now and heading West.
Thank you for your help.
Happy Thanksgiving to all.

B & P

Here's a web page that will help you:

Downloadable Dinghy Guides | MotorHome Magazine

General guidance doesn't apply to all vehicles regarding towing. Look through the list of cars by year, and you'll hopefully find what you need.

Hope that helps!

The 2014 and older CRV's can be towed 4-down!

Not all manual transmission vehicles can be towed 4 down. There are lubrication issues with many of the modern transmissions. Best bet is to check the FMCA Towable lists, or the Remco website.

Not positive, but I have a 2013 AWD CRV and it applies to it!

Thank you all for the info. Just picked up a nice low mileage 2013 CRV. Getting the Blue Ox installed not so easy, RV shops are backed up...business must be good.

Thanks again,

Barry,
According to the 2013 towing guide the Honda CR-V LX, EX, EX-L are towable 4 down. They didn't make a manual transmission.

It is what it is, and then it is what you make of it.
