Thanks Dick for the reply. I have always towed a jeep sahara but now we have a 2011 escape hybrid and the DW wants to tow this now. The first trip will be the 23rd of this month to eastern montana. 2,000 mile round trip. Now you have me a thinking and that is not good. Will let you know what I think when we get back. Thanks again.

Call your Ford Dealer. I understand there is a TSB for the stuff they have to do. I'm not an expert and this stuff may not apply to a Hybrid, I just never checked into it because I always used a dolly. It would be a shame to mess up what I consider a great car. We both love our 2006 and would buy another one. I find I drive slower and see more of the city now because I drive the freeway less.
