No 2015 Hondas towable 4-down?

I just received a copy of the Motorhome Magazine 2015 towing guide and they don't list ANY Honda vehicles as being towable 4-down!

We knew this was coming. That's why we bought a low mileage 2013 CRV. First trip towing in a couple of weeks.

Yes, no 2015 Hondas are towable 4-down. Last year for 4-down for Hondas was 2014.

The Chevy Captiva is towable with automatic transmission and is about the same size, shape, and weight as the CR-V.

They don't list ANY Honda's! Do you know of anyone who has a 2015 Fit whose owner's manual says it's OK?

Remco does not list any 2015 Hondas as towable.

Go to the FMCA website and look at the 2015 towing guide. It list the 2015 FIT with manual transmission as towable. Also there have been numerous other posts on this subject on other websites where Honda of America has been contacted and approved towing the manual transmission 2015 FIT.

The new HR-V (a mini-SUV based on the FIT) should be towable if it has a manual transmission but manual tranny's are hard to find in most brands except in the low-end base models.

I have been told by an engineer friend at Honda of America, that the new HR-V will be optioned with a automatic CVT transmission only....so not towable. In Europe and Australia it does come with a 5 speed manual or 6 speed conventional automatic, but not in U.S.A.

Thanks for the info. That's consistent with what Edmunds is now showing on its website. It would be too small for us anyway and we love our towable CR-V!

Isn't that odd that FMCA would show that but Motorhome Magazine didn't !
