Odometer spin while towing toad?

I am in the process of preparing my 2008 Lincoln MKX to tow behind my motorhome.

I have all the mechanical items done in that the base plate is installed. I'm currently looking into brake contollers.

A friend just asked if my odometer will turn when towing 4 down. I thought not, but I am not sure.

Does anyone know if the odo on my Lincoln will add up? For that matter, how about other models?

No. The computers won't be powered up so the odometer won't be working.

My 08 does not record additional mileage when towed with the key off.
