Just another comment on the CRV. I could have written everything Sky Boss said, except my CRV is a 2012 instead of 2013.

Seeing this country from ground level.

Smitty, again, thanks for the comments! We drove to Atlanta yesterday and picked up the 2013 Honda CRV-EXL. There are things about it that Annette doesn't like, so we'll try it for a week or so before ordering the equipment for towing. We got a really good deal on it and I feel we can sell it and maybe make a few bucks if it comes to that! We'll see!

The 2012 - 2014 CRVs are all the same. The 2012 was changed and became a more comfortable car to use. We have even used it on long trips and found it reasonably comfortable. Usually we use a Sienna for long trips.
The 2015 is NOT towable due to its new CVT transmission.
Yes the battery is smaller than the one in my ridding lawn mower but Honda "adjusted" the computer and now the alternator charges more efficiently.
I will replace the battery with a bigger one if and when this one dies.
In summary - we love it.
