Hi All

How hard is it to install a break even system in an 05 Convertiable with 5 speed manual.

Thanks for any help you can supply.

If you're asking about the Even Brake, the only technical part is the break away switch, and even that is not too bad to install.

Others may be able to provide more info on your PT Cruiser.

Harry and Barb,

If you are in fact installing an Even Brake, Dirk is correct in that the only thing you will need to attach to the PT is the break away. In Calif., we need a front license plate. I took the grill out of the PT and fashioned an aluminum support braket for the break away switch. Behind the upper grill is a cross member that runs in front of the radiator. I attached the support for the break away switch there. I have pictures I can e-mail to you if you would like.

You can send me a private message.

We are using the SMI, which I installed myself.
