Patriot BlueOx Actuator Error

I am new to Rv'ing, towing etc. I have a 2014 Allegro 31SA with a 2011 CRV TOAD. I am using the Blue Ox Patriot system. On our second tow about an hour and a half into the tow I got a A04 error and after some fiddling around an A05 error. I was not able to clear either. Finally after some desperation sat in - 10 PM on sunday night - we read that it may have something to do with power so I sitched from car DC to a portable DC power supply I had. Error cleared and completed the tow with no problem about 3 more hours. I called BlueOx the next day and they identified any A error as an actuator error and said I needed to send my brand new unit in for repair. I called the dealer and he suggested that the Actuator may have been caused by an issue with power from the battery. I am currently testing in my driveway - so far 2 hours in and no error but of course no activity either.

Any ideas on this - do I really need to send this thing in for repair?

Hi, I had a similar sounding problem when I first tried using my new patriot and crv. All seemed fine in my driveway, then started getting the A? (Don't remember the number) error about an hour into our 5 hr drive. Had to unplug it until I got home. Not a happy first time out with the toad experience.

I got a jump start battery to power it and have not had a problem since. My understanding is that the crv outlet doesn't provide sufficient power for the Patriot.
