Patriot Brake system

How to charge the brake system. The manual does not seem to say how to charge. After 2hrs on the road the battery level light on the toad is too low. How can we add something or do something to stop this from happening?

Plug the unit in overnight into your 12V supply with it turned off. Do this over a couple of nights. If you still have a Low Bat error, it needs to go back to BlueOx for refurbish. Call BlueOx and make arrangements with them.
I had this happen to mine after about four years. The new unit is Way Better than the original.

Had same issue. Are you towing a hybrid? I was. It seemed that the engine battery on the car was getting old and needed to be replaced. Also, you can purchase a battery box at a car supply store i.e. NAPA, Checkers, and many others. You plug the Patriot box into the battery box instead of into the car. Have towed both ways now. Anything over a 5 hour drive, I use the battery box instead of the car battery. Works great. BTW, my Patriot box was brand new 3 months ago and was tested several times before I went after the hybrid. My hybrid is a Ford Cmax.
