My 2002 GMC Sierra tows 4 down by pressing the 2HI and 4HI buttons at the same time to put the xfer case into neutral. However, we tow our Jeep or minivan which weigh less.

I tow a 2012 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 extended cab w/Hemi. The electric transfer case disconnect is very easy to use. Been towing this truck and previously a 2008 for years 4 down with no issues.

The new F150 4X4s I believe can be towed 4 down. As long as you can put the transfer case in neutral and it should show in the owners manual the procedure to do it. Unfortunately mine is 2wd so no go.

We bought a 2010 Nissan Frontier SE Manual transmission, new,tow 4 wheel down. Nothing but unlock steering ( has two position ignition positions to unlock steering ) shifter in neutral and go! No fuses to pull, no mods to dive train.

We tow a 4wD Tahoe that the transfer will go to neutral and steering unlocks and you can remove the key, would guess the GMC and Chevy truck 4wd would do the same.

The Ford F150 4X4 years 2012 and later can be towed 4 wheels down. There is a procedure to unlock the transfer case.
Unfortunately I own a 2011 model.

I must assume you want automatic tranny. All Chevy and GMC K1500 and K2500 4X4 from about 1995 through 2015 will tow 4 down. Tranny in P, Transfer case in N and go. I am towing a 2013 Chevy K1500. Make sure your hitch is rated for all the weight you will be towing, truck and cargo.

Did you look into the Remco/Superflow driveshaft disconnect? I bought mine 2 years ago directly from Superflow in Des Moines...had it installed at Camping World in Rogers, MN. After one minor adjustment, it has worked flawlessly ever since. I used to own a 4WD full-size Blazer with a manual transfer case. Never used it, what a waste of money. Before I had a motorhome, I ordered my 2WD Yukon with positraction to tow my heavy boat out of the water. Any 2WD truck can be towed 4 down with a balanced driveshaft disconnect. Don't spend money on a 4WD truck if you don't need it.

Our '07 2500 GMC Duramax 4x4 has given us many years and miles of trouble free service as a toad. As others have stated transfer case in N, shift to park, lock the doors and take the key. You specifically mention a transfer case in your post which indicates you're looking for a 4x4. This of course eliminates the need for a driveshaft disconnect or other additional add-ons. There are several manufacturers that offer what you want it's just a matter of personal preference. Enjoy your travels!

The 2015 Chevy Colorado and the similar GMC Canyon can be towed 4-down if equipped with 4WD and automatic transmission. These are smaller size pickups and lighter than the full sized ones.

I looked into it a while back. I believe Remco sold the design to Superflow and it had been discontinued by them. This was a couple of months ago so not sure about now.

I don't see what motorhome you are using to tow your pickup with. Make sure the motorhome and hitch are rated for the combined weight you plan on towing. Most gassers are 5000lbs max.
