We like our CRV...economical, reliable, light, seats five, easy to hook up and go.

Ditto, plus AWD and decent ground clearance add to it's multi mission capability!

We did a lot of research about toads, asked a lot of questions about best choices on this Forum, checked out various models with dealers and after all our ruminating ... decided to buy a 2012 Honda CR-V EX AWD. We then decided on Air Force One brake and Blue Ox Aventa LX tow system. All in all, a great toad, brake and towing system.

DW used the CR-V during the winter and was extremely happy with it (for a Lexus owner, this is no small thing to say!). I found it just a lot of fun to drive too and with Pandora as standard equipment in the '12 (we are big music people), along with better mileage and smoother performance, it turned out to be a great choice for us all the way around.

We hooked up the CR-V to our '11 Ventana 3433 at the end of March, drove from Florida to Pennsylvania with our toad, "Charley", never making a peep and we have had zero issues and problems. We have the hook up part down to literally 5 minutes with the Air Force One and Blue Ox Aventa (what a great system).

We suspected there was a good reason that we kept reading about so many motorhomers towing CR-V's, and we now know why!

Happy Motoring --

We tow an 08 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited (4dr) and love it. We've had fun exploring our surroundings when out camping. Tows like a dream and was easy to setup too. I went with Blue Ox base plates and Readybrute Elite tow bar with integrated surge brake. It was easy to install and the most cost effective solution.

BTW most of the "lists" out there that talk about how many states mandate auxiliary brakes are put out by the aux brake manufacturers. I know for an absolute fact that CO law does not address the issue of towed vehicle brakes yet CO makes it on all the lists as a state the "requires" brakes on towed vehicles. I still think it's a good idea to have them as an ambulance chaser will try his best to load you with liability if you don't.
