Just recently I have developed a issue when hooking up the RVibrake2 Auxiliary Braking System. (1 1/2 year old RVibrake system).
The last three hookup the unit shows a "low voltage system shut down" message. The Toad is a '14 Jeep with a battery reading of 12.6 Volts so that is not the issue. If I unplug all connections and reconnect after 3 or four attempts the unit is fine and works during the entire days trip.

I contacted RVibrake and they at this point feel its a Jeep issue.

Obviously I feel it is a RVibrake issue.

Has anyone else had a similar issue and what was the resolution?

Can you plug in your RVI2 into another electric outlet, maybe one in the motorhome, just to see if the problem follows the RVI unit which would indicate it is the unit as you suspect.

If you only get the "Low voltage" message when you plug into the Jeep outlet then it may be the outlet has a bad connection.

I got the low voltage 1 time on my RVI on a 2000 Jeep wrangler. Unplugged the unit and started it over and all was well. I know the voltage on jeep was OK because I have a hot line running from the MH. BTW my RVI is about 2-1/2 years old.

I have the RVI 1 system and had the same problem. the 12 volt cigarette lighter plug was bad. The fuse is held in place inside the plug with a spring. this was all coming apart inside. Gave the same symptoms. I cut the entire plug off and replaced it with a new plug and fuse holder. Not had a problem since.

Thanks for your response. I tried stretching the spring in the adapter and the first time I tried it, it worked. Then tried it again with different cig lighters in Vehicle and also other different vehicles. All produced the same low voltage indicator,

Spoke with RVI and advised them of test, they wanted me to "run" the vehicles and try it again. I advised them that 4 vehicles all produced same error and the batteries all read over 12.6 Volts. Told them what you had done. After a lengthy discussion they have agreed to send a label for the return and testing since it is under warranty.

So I will post what happens and the resolution.
