For those with the protect a tow, do you have to install eyebolts on your toads bumper?
On my Honda CRV I didn't use the eyebolts. I hooked the clasps under the front bumper making sure they were properly spaced. No problems in over 3,000 miles. Wished I had bought the Protect-A-Tow to protect my previous Toad.
I replaced two windshields and then bought a windshield cover from CW that was held in place by the doors and tied inside. First time I got in heavy rain on the West Coast I found that wasn't the greatest thing. My floor boards had a couple inches of water. Seems it protected the windshield from rocks but allowed water to seep inside the car. Also, due to the compression of the door seals it created a lot of wind noise driving the Toad.

Has anyone used the Blue Ox KarGard II? It is similar to the Protect-a-tow, but is not restricted by the rear exhaust issue. It attaches to the Blue Ox tow bar hitch points and requires no additional connection to the toad or the MH.
I have a protect a tow as well. I have not seen anything that I think would do a better job and do it as easily. I did put the eye bolts on the Fit as well as the Georgetown. Not hard to do and makes hooking it up easy. I was concerned about the eye bolts on the Fit because is so low but in over 10 thousand km it's been fine.
