Ron, we tow an 01, auto, 4 down. Have Remco lube pump for the transmission, you do not need that with a stick. Use Blue Ox, brake buddy and have the lights of car pluged into lights of rig. Have towed for almost 50,000 miles with NO problems.

Bushman, just was re reading the posts and saw yours regarding the cost of the lube pump. It has been 5 years so don't have up to date info but we got everything from Towing World, I would guess that you could go to that web site and get cost ideas. I think the pump was in the 250 range.

Ron and Susan,

We tow a '05 PT, using Roadmaster tow bar and baseplate, chosen for the location of the baseplate receivers. Blue Ox would have required holes drilled on both sides of the lower grill. Something we didn't want to do. Blue Ox however seems to have less steel needed to hook up their towbar.

We are using diodes and the OE bulbs. You need the diodes if you will use the existing bulbs. I don't know if there is room for an additional bulb. If I did it over I would use the external lights that slide into a receiver.

SMI Silent Partner is our toad brake. We are very pleased with the braking system.
