Pt Cruiser Toad??

Just to clarify I currently tow a Saturn Vue and I have the Toad guide but just throwing this out there. I have a 2006 PT Cruiser convertible, automatic with the high output Turbo. Says it can only be towed on a trailer 4 wheels up. Has anyone tried adding a transmission cooler and flat towing it. Confused as to why a FWD vehicle would require all wheels up instead of a dolly but thatís a different question. We encountered someone on the road that added a transmission cooler and towed a Cruiser that was not an 06 or a Turbo. TIA!

Remco has a lube pump kit for a PT Cruiser with an automatic transmission.

Nothing fancy about it.
Exactly what we wanted.

Towed my 2004 PT cruiser Limited with the Remco pump for 50,000 miles. No problem. I took the pump off, sold the cruiser and bought a 2003 Honda CRV that does not need a pump.
I 'm not sure why you can't use a pump for yours as the rear wheels not connected to the drive train. Maybe something to do with the turbo or transmission in that model.

Thanks for the info! I will look into the Remco transmission pump. Havenít figured out the difference about using a dolly. The 2005 you can tow on a dolly but the 2006 requires a trailer.

Do you still have the remco pt Cruiser pump and would you want to sell it?

Sorry, but I sold it right after I sold the cruiser. Wish now I had kept the cruiser as it was a great toad. It had over a 100,000 when I sold it still looked like new and drove like new.
Good luck with yours. Remco makes a plate for installing the pump on top of the left shock housing. Worked great.

Bought my manual trans 2005 PT Cruiser for $2k and put another $1200 into it for new tires and a timing belt (recommended at 90k miles) and couldn't be happier. Makes a great toad.
