Question about TOAD

So we are planning to have our TOAD be an early 50's Chevy sedan with an air ride suspension. I'll be going completely through the whole drivetrain on the car so that's not an issue. My question is if there is any way to tap into the coach's air ride system to provide a supply for the TOAD in transit? Ideally I'd air up the TOADs suspension when we hooked up and wouldn't need air at all but I'm just considering all possibilities. I'd hate to look in the rearview and see sparks flying because the system bled off in transit.

Most coaches with air brakes and suspensions have an air hose connection in the engine compartment, or nearby. Ours has one there and one in the generator compartment up front. I expect you could run a hose to connect to that. But I would be concerned that doing so might compromise the air brake system if the hose is damaged.

If it was me, I'd probably rig some way to monitor the car's suspension pressure while driving, and stop to re-air if it gets low.

Depending on how much you want to spend---a Viair 2 1/2 gallon system---runs on 12v could be installed at the rear of your coach to serve as a seperate air system for car---who knows maybe a back up to your air brakes----about $400.
