Question on tow bar for Saturn

We have purchased a 2003 Phaeton and we want to tow a car with us in Jan.I have found a 2000 Saturn Ls sedan which is wired and ready to tow with a baseplate.I have also found a used Falcon 3250 tow bar with everything BUT the baseplate and it was last used with a 1998 Saturn sedan. These items are listed on Craiglslist by diffrent parties. My question is I wonder if they are compatible and if I could use until I decide exactly what I want to tow and how I want to tow it.
Would antone have any knowledge about this and how I might proceed??

Look up the Falcon on google and see what years it is compatibale with. That will tell you if the base plate is the right one

You really need to identify the base plate. I'll wager that a picture on here would result in someone having on just like it and identifying it, then the tow bar could be ordered. It is not so much as the base plate itself, but the actual hookup to the tow bar. Are the base plate receptacles vertical, horizontal, recessed slots, etc.

what are the differences between a Demco, Roadmaster-Falcon tow bar, or their base plates? Could a Demco tow bar be used for a Roadmaster-Falcon base plate, or vice versa?

A picture is worth a thousand posts.

There is an adapter for Demco baseplate to Roadmaster Falcon tow bar.

Thanks for help. I think the base plate is a Roadmaster #523102 and I am hoping to find a used tow bar I can use with it.After several hours of research it looks like there may be several options. I think I may go ahead and buy the car and hunt for a tow bar. Hoping maybe a Falcon #5250 I found on Craigslist may work.

RoadMaster makes adapters to use other tow bars with their baseplates and vice versa, you shouldn't have a problem mating them up.
Take a look at the RoadMaster site: Roadmaster Inc. - Tow Bars, Braking Systems & RV Accessories
