Had mine for less than a year, towing a Jeep Wrangler, tows really well. Brakes are very smooth.

Been through the BC Rockies, no issue with the Jeep braking going downhill under engine braking, the Jeep will brake initially, but then just follows along unless I brake the motorhome again.

Download the installation manual, you do need to drill two small holes. Get the breakaway brake kit as well while you're at it.

We have accepted an offer on the S&B and have spent the last couple weeks getting our (new to us) 2014 Ford Edge setup to flat tow (sold the dolly) with a ReadyBrute Elite tow bar and a Roadmaster base plate. Everything has been pretty straight forward and I like the setup, in general. Still getting used to it on short jaunts, trying to make sure I have the cable adjusted right, before we head south to avoid the cold and hopefully some more exploring the U.S.. I like the convenience and simplicity of the entire setup.
