Ready brute Elite Tow Bars

Has anyone had any experience with the Ready Brute Elite tow bar with the built in brake system? It looks like a great idea but I can not find much feedback from users.
Thanks in advance.

Like mine pulling a 2015 Focus. Do some looking around in the Toad section. Lots of happy owners.

Got mine back when they were less than $800. Excellent tow bar that has never failed me after many miles of use towing two different vehicles. As long as Sir Isaac Newton's laws of motion stay in effect it will always work.

A search of IRV2.net returned over 11,000 hits for "Ready Brake" as the search phrase. https://www.google.com/search?q=Read...earch=irv2.com

There are a bunch of Youtube videos on the bar in action along with owner comments and instructions to help with installation of the brake cable. https://www.youtube.com/results?sear...ke+brute+elite

Lots of info on Ready Brake/Brute. One of the more recent ones is above.

As mentioned there is a lot threads on the subject.

We tow a 2016 Wrangler JKUS with the RBE. Works great. I went that direction so I didn’t have to cut into my coach air brake lines. All self installed. Used a blue ox baseplate on the Jeep.

Ours is 12 years old & I would recommend the product. We have pulled a couple different vehicles and changed motorhomes and it works like a champ. I have never needed any "service" however there was an update several years ago. I sent the tow bar back to them & they updated & rebuilt some key components no charge.

We've been using the ReadyBrute Elite for five years with no problems. I see that they have a new model that's rated at 12,000 lbs! Don't know if they still call it by the same name.

We just got one of the Ready Brute Elite with Ready Brake. We also got the blue ox base plate for 2005 Jeep Wrangler. Installed base plate and the brake system along with Blue Ox lights and brake away this week. Test pull to come.

We've pulled our Honda Fit with a Ready Brute Elite tow bar for 10 years and have been very happy with it.
