ReadyBrute Elite Towbar Owners

We have ordered a new motorhome that should arrive sometime in February. My plan is to replace our F150 with a 2020 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon and use the ReadyBrute Elite towbar, either a Blue Ox baseplate and keep stock bumper or install LOD/Hardrock 4x4 bumper with integrated blue ox connections, and Hopkins tail light wiring.

What setup do you use and could you post pictures of the setup? I've seen a few videos on the brake cable install from the bumper to the brake pedal, but just wondering how you attached it to the jeep bumper?

Thanks.

John

Mines similar to les.warden except I have the power plug and brake cable mounted thru the bumper and not on a bracket. We don't have a front license plate so that space was available. I also did not use base plates but installed a Currie Tow Plate.

If I was doing it over I'd go with an aftermarket bumper so the connection points would be a little higher.

I have the LOD front bumper and the Hopkins wiring, currently use the blue ox tow bar that was with the mh when we bought it. Happy with bumper and wiring so far.

2017 JKRR with Hardrock bumper, Hopkins tail lite kit and a brake relay. I flat tow behind a Ram dually 4x4 (slide in camper) and I still need a 6” riser to get the two bar level. Works great though. We set it up last year and have towed 6,000 miles or so on freeways, backroads and up and down mountains.

I didn't want to have the inserts which Roadmaster and Blue Ox use so I went with the Maximus-3 tow loops. I had them shipped directly to NSA (the manufacturer of the Ready Brute) so they could figure out which clevises I needed to use their Tow Brute Elite II system. NSA confirmed their clevises designed for a Barricade bumper will work with the Maximus-3 loops. Their part number is 10036. The clevis are steel and I'm assuming they only work with the newer Ready Brute Elite II tow bar.

My tow loop and tow bar should be here on Wednesday. I'll take photos of my setup once I get it in.
