I have a 2000 Itasca 35U and I need a recommendation / advice on a vehicle to tow.

I need to seat 6 (4 adults, 2 children) and the weight needs to be less than 4.3K lbs. Does something like that exist towing with all 4 wheels down or on a tow dolly?

Would a FWD Honda / Nissan / Chrysler van work?

Appreciate any advice. I've looked at several posts and links but they all seem to point to 4 wheels down and seating 4.

Thanks in advance.

CLICK HERE to go to Motorhome Magazine's home page, and scroll down to the Dingy Towing Guides.

They list the base weight of each vehicle suitable for towing 4-down.

Remember, the base weight is for the vehicle with no options, and no cargo, but it looks like you may have several choices.

A minivan would be the right solution for you - has the seating and about the right weight. Most of them require a lube pump to be towed (typical for front wheel drive vehicles). I've seen a lot of the Chysler/Dodge minivans under tow. Honda Odyssey vans may not require anything.

Contact Remco Towing for information on what mini vans are towable using the Remco towing accessories - either a lube pump or driveline disconnect. And if a minivan doesn't need any mods for towing, Remco will tell you that straight out.

REMCO is 1 800 228 2481.
