Remco is Back

Needing a part for my 7 year old Remco Driveshaft Disconnect, I called the RV parts supply that sold me my original unit. I was fearful, because Remco stopped manufacturing the devices after they were sold to another company. I was happy to hear that Remco is once again manufacturing the Driveshaft Disconnects and that replacement parts are readily available. This may be old news but it was new to me, so I thought I'd pass it along.

Curious as to what parts you needed? I have one and was wondering what fails.

My driveshaft has become difficult to re-couple. Examining the Remco device, I discovered that the ceramic shift blocks that move the coupling collar back and forth are badly worn. Since there is less material moving the collar, I suspect this to be the cause of the difficulty. Now if I can only figure out how to swap them out without dropping the driveshaft...
