I just ordered the trans pump today for our 2009 Jeep Liberty 2WD. I am going to install myself and wanted to hear any input on the install anybody may have. The instructions say 6 hours and I was wondering if that was a good estimate
Thanks
Randy

I think I'd have bought a 4wd to tow. We had a '97 Jeep GC with full time 4wd and it worked great!
Did they offer a driveshaft disconnect? I'd have done that before a trans pump.
I know of one friend that had a Remco pump in a Chrysler van, the pump quit, the alarm didn't sound and the warranty wouldn't cover the rebuild (naturally).
But then I also have two friends that used the Remco disconnect, both had trans failures while towing.
That's why I'd recommend a 4wd Jeep!

I agree 4wd is best, unfortunately we we're expecting to buy a motorhome when we bought the Jeep. My wife has kept every car she has had for 10 years so replacing it is not an option at this point!
