So we don't need a car to tow beyond our RV very much and I started wondering if they rent Dingy's. I'm 99% sure they don't and I'm sure all the liability issues would prevent it, but it sure would be nice. Yes you can rent a car, but that isn't always convenient in many places. We already have 3 cars and none can ge towed, and we don't want to sell one of them to get something like a Jeep Wrangler, so what are we to do? We don't need/want 4 cars and I've given up a trailer because of the hassle and none of our cars will work on a dolly.

If I thought the market was there and liability wouldn't be an issue I'd start my Rent-A-Dingy business in a heart beat. What do you think?

Are you adverse to a tow dolly (probably yes, if a trailer is a no-go)? Then rent a car that can go on the tow dolly.

As for a dingy renting business, maybe. It would be a specialized car rental business. Might buy a couple used Jeep Liberty to start and setup with base plate towbar, brake, and lights. ReadyBrute comes to mind. Would have to provide drop/riser receiver adapters, etc. as well. As you comment, insurance might be a problem.
