I am replacing the UTB in my 2015 Colorado with a SMI Stay and Play DUO. Has anyone connected the DUO LED strip through the Colorado brake switch for positive brake indication?

To answer my own question, it cannot be done. The Colorado brake light switch is not a switch it is a sensor.
I installed a brake light switch in the Colorado that operates a relay in the coach. The relay controls 2 LEDs. When the red LED is lit either the toad umbilical cord is not connected or the brake pedal is depressed. When the green LED is lit the toad is connected and the brake pedal is not depressed.
I have read of serious problems caused by the toad brakes dragging after the aux brake system released. Because I cannot wire through the Colorado brake switch the LED strip that is provided with the Stay and Play Duo only indicates whether or not the Duo commanded the brake pedal to move not that it actually did move. With this circuit I have positive indication that the brake pedal is not depressed and that the toad umbilical cord is connected.
I finally had a chance to test the Stay and Play Duo install today and it works great. The LEDs mounted on top of my Garmin give a positive indication of toad connection and brake pedal activation. I don't know if the DUO led strip on the back of the mirror worked, I could not tell in the camera monitor. I know it works when brake away pin is pulled.
