Road Legal ATV

I have a motorcycle lift on my class A and I would like to use it to carry something that I can run to the grocery store with (on road) and also use for a week of November hunting in Canada (off road, mud and snow).
I am thinking 4WD ATV or side by side? I need it to be legal on the road for the short trips to the grocery store from the campground. Any suggestions on what I can buy that will work for both applications and keep me legal?

Well Sir,

One of the first things you need to consider is, is whatever kind of little "toy" you plan on purchasing for your little hunting/camping and, even some daily running around, going to be LEGAL in the towns/areas you plan on being in? You see, over here in Lake Havasu City AZ, there's a zillion of those little "Razor" type side-by-sides etc. machines running around all over the place on the streets. It's legal to run those here in this part of AZ. But, where we came from 7 months ago, in So CAL, it's not legal for those to be on the streets.

So, some research into where you may plan doing some of your camping/hunting etc. and it's rules and regs pertaining to vehicles/toys etc. on the streets is warranted. Once you find that out, then you'll be able to decide just what kind of vehicle/toy might be appropriate for your intentions, based on what's legal in those areas. Good luck.
Scott

The legality of ATV's on the road varies with location, not just State to state or Provence to Provence but occasionally city to city.

palehorse89,
While that is a pretty cool looking little car, I'm pretty sure it would not do for the OPs requirements of "Occasional Hunting" in his area. Not quite the "off road" set up I think he might be looking for.
