Roadmaster Braking System

I am looking at a Rosdmaster Brake Pro for my 2003 onvoy, Their is one on craigs list for $400.00 it is a used ststem, will look at it this afternoon was wondering the pros & cons of this system. My understanding is that the early unit wre not very reliable, any advise would be helpful.

The Roadmaster website doesn't list a manual for the Brakemaster Pro. They do list manuals for the 9300, 9400, and 9700 portable braking systems.

Roadmaster Inc. - Tow Bars, Braking Systems & RV Accessories

Is it possible it's is one of these units? In any case I would call Roadmaster and ask if they still support the unit you are considering. If it's no longer supported I'd pass no matter what the price. If it isn't supported and you have any problems now or in the future it will have to be replaced rather than repaired.

We had a Sterling tow bar (forerunner to the Sterling All Terrain) that we purchased in 2005. Only the last few serial numbers in the series are still supported. When the current parts inventory is exhausted it will be considered obsolete and as such owners will no longer be able to buy parts or get them serviced.

I bought a RoadMaster BrakePro new in the fall of 2005, used it in two different toads until summer of 2012 . . . never had any trouble with it. By the way, the "9300" is the manual you want from the RoadMaster website. It was the predecessor to the current EvenBrake. Sold it on eBay.

I use a 9300 Brake Pro with success. "TAZ" on here has a mod for it that I will install when I get home. It only allows braking when the MH brake lights are on.
