Roadmaster Break System

We recently purchased a Roadmaster Breakmaster system. Does anyone know if a breakaway is required to use with it?

Many states require you to have a break a way braking system. It depends on the weight of the car being towed. It's not hard or expensive to set up, why not be safe?

No not a problem you can use it without the breakaway, the hardest job is finding a place to install It but hook it up to the Brakemaster is a snap and about 3 brake application will charge the breakaway little air tank. Cost at of the Roadmaster breakaway is $250 to $300 but M&G has one that cost about $195 and works just like the Roadmaster, you can build one with a Mac valve about $30 ( i have the valve part #) a few 1//4 tubing fittings a 1/4 check valve and a small tank, the tank is the problem I dont know where to get one.
