Roadmaster Falcon towbar/Blue Ox base plate

We're brand new at this after many years of towing trailers. I was fortunate when I bought the coach in that the vendor included the Roadmaster Falcon 2 towbar and Even Brake. All I need is the base plate for my 2010 Cobalt and the wiring. The Falcon 2 has this large crossbar that connects the tow bar to the base plate. I don't see the same crossbar with the Blue Ox combinations. Is it possible to use a Blue Ox base plate (BX1684) with the Roadmaster Falcon 2 and eliminate the crossbar?
Roadmaster shows a Tow Bar Adaptor/Swivel Ear Replacement Kit (#031) so the connection is possible. I just wonder if it eliminates the crossbar.

Yes look at the Blue Ox adapters. You can call Blue Ox and they can also help.

I spoke to Blue Ox who confirmed that their base plate would work with the Falcon 2 with the adaptor, only, and the crossmember would not be necessary.

Hitch City, who sell both Blue Ox and Roadmaster agreed and recommended the Blue Ox for our Cobalt.
