RoadMaster in a 2009 Dodge 1500 SLT - bad installation

I purchased both the tow (blackhawk2) and brake system (even brake) for my 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 SLT and it has worked fine. However after about a year I lost my rear tail light. So I pulled it apart expecting to find a bad bulb but what I found was that the installer did not have his wire strippers set correctly. So he scarred all of the wires he touched when stripping them back. With the vibration/rain and all it they just came apart.

I replaced the connectors on both rear lights and its worked fine since, but now I don't have Hi-Beams on the the passenger side (bulb is fine and i do have low beaks) and my remote entry/panic button doesn't work.

So my question is could he have grabbed power from either of those?

Unfortunately they closed the Campers World near us so I cant bring it back and while I did find the manuals for the stuff its difficult to say. The dodge dealer is glad to trouble shoot for me, for as long as it takes, just a BIG dollar sign associate with that. So any and all help would be appreciated.

I think you'll need to do some work with a multimeter to determine what's wrong or pay the dealer. No way for us to guess how he wired it.

spoke to Roadmaster tech support who said nothing they would have done could affect it, but in the next breath said that the installer does need to supply 12v to system.

Started my meter work last night- will post what I find.

In most cases 12vdc is pulled from the MH and not the Toad. If they do pull it from the toad they usually hook up a trickle charge to the Toad from wait for it wait for it, the MH
