Rock guards and gas mileage

Anybody know what effects the solid rubber rock guard that extends across the motorhome frame has in terms of gas mirage? How about effects on the airflow at the radiator? Exhaust heat buildup?

i am using a roadmaster guardian and never noticed any fuel consumption change. my exaust and radiator are all at side so no impact. overall i would guess it has little or immaterial effect if any.
