I tow an 06 Jeep Liberty and this is how I do it..... start vehicle and put gear shift in neutral then move transfer case to neutral then shut off engine and place shifter into park then turn key one click and you're all set

I've been camping since the eighties and have never seen anybody tow a vehicle while running
