The Poster that had the communication proglem. When I spoke to RVi they told me that sometimes the antenna with the unit was not long enough to reach the monitor easily they have a T antenna that hangs from your mirror. They offered to send me one for my unit free. I was upgrading to the RVi2 when I called so i just opted to wait. The RVi2 came with the T antenna in the box
Sorry, but I'm confused. Assuming you mean the toad's rear view mirror, how does an antenna hanging THERE improve communication to the monitor in the coach???
I would think the monitor is where the better antenna is needed. Please feel free to correct my mis-understandings....they are plentiful.

The T antenna gets the antenna off the floor, thus a better signal.

How do you move the vehicle once the unit is installed and clamped to the brake?? Once mine is installed, I don't think I could get in and move the car, not enough room.

If so, that is a remarkable action for a company to take these days. Usually companies are looking for any excuse to deny a claim, at least that's been my experience.
Yep! It was my screw-up and I didn't ask them for any reparations. I just called them to try to figure out why it happened. They offered to pay for the repairs and I accepted.

Purchased an RVI 2 a couple of months ago. My antenna connector at the unit came loose. Called Dan Decker at RVI brake. He apologized, emailed me a UPS label, told me to call UPS for pick up. They have great customer service, which is rare in this and age. The unit works flawlessly and I highly recommend it.
