I found this piece:
"We apologize for our website and it should be fully functional soon. This is a brand new braking system and will be available for delivery the end of April. It will retail for $1250.00 but now has an introductory price of $995.00 through the end of April. Please all with any questions to 800-815-2159. Thanks

Hi Donlock:
This is the first I have ever heard of that manufacturer. It raises a question. Why would you discard a new Patriot braking system for something that has no reputation for reliability or working web site for that matter? I'm in the market for a new braking system and the Patriot was on my short list along with US Gear, and SMI products.

RVI Brake
Had Issues with Patriot this is the second unit, Error messages and runs
battery down on toad.
This winter on the way south it locked all 4 wheels up on toad ,it said
breakaway disconected and it never did, had to disconect everything and carry on to Florida, and came home without it connected as I didn't trust it.
They asked me to call them and I tried always out so left my number and they never called me Back. So next trip out I might give another try and see what happens .
I was wondering if I need some sort block so it pushes
against it instead of the soft seat maybe it moves around to much?
I bought a toad charge system and that cured the dead battery and I always carry a booster pack. Its a lot money to pay out I thought I was
getting a state of the art system not a bunch of issues.
There are others that have had issues to and some that have not
so roll the dice.

I ordered one of these back in April at the inductory rate of $995. To date, nothing received. I've called them and they state they are having problems with receiving parts from vendors. I didn't pay for it yet, thank God! Am going to need it starting in mid August so I'm almost down to the wire. Anyone receive one of these yet ??

I emailed them and they told me they were having manufacturing issues. They said they should be shipping by mid July. They didn't offer me an 'introductory' price. :( I haven't ordered one yet.

From an email today they are looking at a two week shipping time frame and in September same day shipping.
I'd sure like to hear what others have to say about using it but how can they if they can't get them

When I talked to them last week, they said they had their problems with the circuit board manufacturer resolved and they would start shipping by the end of this week.
We'll see.

Got a UPS tracking number today. Should be here tomorrow. Will update with status when I get a in-depth look at it.

Received my RVi Brake today. Package consisted of the brake unit, a breakaway switch assembly, a remote wireless controller/monitor, and a plate to put in the car if you don't have a seat riser. My Saturn Aura has a partial riser, a preliminary fit suggests that it'll work but I have to look at it closer tomorrow. Amazing how small the unit is and lightweight too (10lb). Instructions are not glitzy or high tech but adequate.
The remote monitor is kinda cute in that the cigarette lighter is also the stalk that the monitor is mounted to. Don't have to set up a separate mounting point for the monitor itself.
Breakaway switch is the only item needing real installation.

Update on my RVi Brake system:
Got it installed without any problems. My Saturn doesn't have a real good seat pan for the unit to bear against so I had to install the supplied stop plate to the floor. Rest was pretty simple. I'm still amazed how small and low profile the unit is.
I did the initial test tow using my truck instead the coach. The unit worked great. I could see it progressively braking when I braked the truck. There is a Test Brake button on the monitor that applies the toad brakes for two seconds while you coast so you can feel the drag when the unit activates the brakes.
Am currently on the road and so far the unit is working as advertised.
