Rvi or Brake Buddy power while towing

It is not a question if or can a motorhome towing a vehicle stop, but rather of how long it takes or distance it takes. All data is pretty conclusive that using a toad braking system shortens that distance a significant amount. It might be the difference between an accident or not.

On my 2013 Wrangles the power point in the center box is 12v constant on powered from the battery, the dash mounted power point is key controlled.

We just towed our 2013 Jeep Wrangler Sport from Florida to CT with about four disconnects / connects from our Class A for touring and running to the store, etc. at various stops along the way. We have the Rvi2 brake system and it worked flawlessly.
Just a question for others using the Rvi system with their Wranglers.....are you using the "small suv" setting on "high" sensitivity? If not, what settings are you using? This seems to work for us but we're just curious. Thanks.

Don't have a Wrangler, but use RVi brake 2 with CRV AWD. I set it for small SUV with MED sensitivity. Seems to work fine. Really only comes on when I brake fairly hard.
I played with it awhile starting with LOW setting until I got what I thought I would be comfortable with how the brakes were being applied. I think it becomes personal preference. Some people feel more comfortable with the brakes applied all the time, other people only in a panic situation. I chose the middle ground, therefore the MED on the setting. Because your Wrangler is heavier than my CRV you might want the HIGH setting. It is a nice unit though. I have been very happy with it.

We are new to toad towing. I too, have been trying to find the correct settings for the 2 dr. wrangler and RVi. What would qualify as a compact toad versus a small suv for the correct setting? The wrangler is only @ 3600 lbs.
Have used both settings.

FYI, I have a 2013 Explorer wt @ 4800# and use the RVi small suv and high sensitivity setting.
