RVi3 Command Center issues

I am fully familiar with the issues of orientation and would prefer to have all functions operate in landscape or portrait mode. Enabling auto-rotate was a problem with older versions of the software - on a rough road the accelerometer would interpret a rough ride as a change of orientation and do some interesting things to the display.

Sounds like you work for RVi ! Activation of the switch is independent of the tablet and subsequent emergency braking of the toad. If it isn’t it should be and given the issues with the software it’s scary. I will check on this and if true I will be asking for my money back
Who the hell would drive a motorhome down a road rough enough to cause a tablet to autorotate? I’ve used my phone with a windscreen holder on dirt roads in my 4x4 and never had it autorotate.

And it sounds like you don’t understand how the product works!! The tablet will provide notification of problems and TPMS status if they are in use. I never said the brake function depended on the tablet to work.

As for autorotation on rough roads, try some unexpected potholes at 50 mph. It is possible with the right conditions. The display would flicker as it started the rotation and recovered. My fix was to turn off autorotate and bypass that construction zone.

Potholes at 50mph? I think driving a 4x4 on dirt is much rougher. Being trained as a engineer by IBM aim the sixties and being well versed in IT since then I think I know a little. The RVi3 will operate quite happily without the Command Center which is just as well since the RVi software is crap.

The command center is a great device for actually setting up the RVi3 to match it to the vehicle your are towing. For example it obviously needs to work harder with a large SUV than it does with a sub compact car. Another useful function is the “Brake Test” function. You drive at 30mph and touch the brake test button on the screen. You should feel the braking effect from the brakes being applied on your TOAD. It’s a great way to be sure that the braking system is working as it should be.
On the negative side besides the screen rotation issue I stopped to take a break on a road trip a couple of days ago and were very surprised and shocked to find the piston clamp had came off the brake pedal.
