The blue oval is the 50A inline fuse, the green is the switch mounted on the firewall (you can run it inside if you like), and the yellow is the connection to the fuse terminals. Standard crimp-on spade connectors will slide onto the terminals in the fuse box. Use automotive primary wire rated for 50A. 10 gauge works for distances as short as I am using in the photo, but it probably needs to be larger gauge to run inside the cab area (longer wire).

I have an 08 vue. I understand that I need to pull a 2A fuse when towing, but which one. Anyone help?

Your Vue owner manual has a section called Recreational Towing. It will identify define the proper procedure for towing, including what fuse to remove.

On my '06 Vue, I have to pull a 30 amp switch and it is green.

It's identified as the IGN SW 2A.
Take a look at the solution I applied. No more yanking the fuse. The fuse puller by the way is immediately below the fuse you need to pull. *(Pic #1)
I hope this will help you. - Pic #1 - Connection to OE fuse socket
- Pic #2 - Label on access cover
- Pic #3 - Finished appearance - GPS sits in mesh pocket out of the sun
- Pic #4 - Complete wiring harness. 2A sits in its own socket mid-way. Hole is drilled through cover to mount switch.
- Pic# 5 - Mini Fuse sockets
- Pic #6 - Mini Fuse holder - Insert OE 2A fuse here
- Pic #7 - On / Odd Switch · White dot pushed = ON
- Pic #8 - Details of harness - Approx 12" long

Driver,
What a great solution. Now where did you get the parts. As with most of these things the doing it is not so hard, knowing where to find the right pieces is. Also does yor GPS have any difficulty in finding satellites from that location?

Here is the vendor for the Saturn Vue Bypass Switch wiring assembly.
RV Parts Plus
Good luck!
IF you call for the RVing FuseSwitch™, tell them you heard about the harness on www.irv2.com

Any NAPA parts store could supply the switch, fuse, wire and spade terminals. Very simple to make yourself.

... and wire loom and then you should go to TRS and buy some shrink wrap .... You might also need a heat gun if you don't have one and a roll of 33.

We also have an 08 Saturn Vue and purchased the fuse from the location mentioned by DriVer. A little pricey and undoubtedly could be put together a little cheaper but it comes ready to be installed and works as intended. I set ours up to where the black dot on the switch is down when in normal driving mode and up when towing. Turn car on, put AT in neutral, turn ign switch to ACC, push rocker switch. Don't forget to take emergency brake off. To drive, put emergency brake on, push rocker switch, start vehicle.
If needed, the manual for the 08 Vue is here. Saturn | Saturn Vehicle Owners Manuals
You need sections 4-42, 5-97 and 5-98. BTW, don't be alarmed if you notice a burning rubber smell when driving the vehicle after towing. It is road/tire residue which has been deposited into the Vue when towing it. Enjoy.

JC2, About that, let me say this. My previous tires, the Firestones, made the smell inside the car quite pungent. I had to open the doors and air the thing out.
Since then, I have just put on a set of Goodyear Comfortred Touring tires and I am having a hard time smelling any rubber.

Yeah, right. Blame it on the tires.
